Could anyone give me a pointer as to how to append score details to an XLS sheet via Opus XE5.5. The Material I wish to append is not complex i.e.
Name, Dept, Date, #Q1, #Q2, #Q3, #Q4, #Q5, #Q6, #Q7, #Q8, #Q9, #Q10
the "#" is the number of attempts made to get the correct answer.
I can successfully read this info to a disk file, convert the disk file to a txt file and view the results via an Opus page but it would be the icing on the cake if I had the XL file in the system_pub_dir and was able to append the detail at the push of a button. The customer wants a spread sheet rather than a db solution.
Your help would be much appreciated - as always
Regards
John

John,

It is not possible to write to an Excel spread Sheet. ODBC for Excel is read only.

You could save your file out as a coma-separated file, which Excel can read.

To do this you simple write the data to the disk separated by comas.
You then give the file name the extension .CSV
