Another thing I've noticed when changing from Opus 4 to Opus 5 is that I can't save an object to a gallery that I have created. I can save any item to a gallery that Opus creates (like Basics, Flag_Maps, Calenders etc..).
Any ideas :?:

Hi Klaus,

Yes you can. :) I'm using Opus Pro XE 5.5 and have no problems.

Have the Components Tab active in the organiser and right-click... then simply select "New Gallery" from the pop-up menu and follow the prompts.

To copy objects to your Gallery, select the objects on the page and right-click and choose "Copy To Gallery" from the pop-up menu. Hope that helps. :D

Hi Steve !

I think something very queer is going on with my Opus :?
When I create a new gallery and right click and then click on the Copy to Gallery command the new gallery is greyed out and not active . All the other galleries are black and active.

However, when I copy the item into the clipboard, activate the Objects Tab on the left of the organizer I can paste the item into the desired gallery. If the component tab is active, pasting will not work :?

Hi Klaus,

Something seems strange for the Galleries to be greyed out. I cannot seem to replicate your problem. I thought perhaps you had the Galleries "locked", but I just discovered that objects can be copied to locked Galleries too.

I think DW can best advise for you. :?: I don't want to assume your registry is corrupt and for you to reinstall Opus, when this may not be the problem. Wait and see what DW say is the best bet. :?

Do you think it could have anything to do with the fact that I have both 04 and 05 installed ?? Shouldn't make any difference since they're using different folders.

Hi Klaus,

I don't have versions Opus Pro XE 04 & 05 installed together so I can't say sorry. I have 2.81 installed however, but that uses different registry settings so no conflicts occur.

But it may be possible that 04 & 05 share the same "registry folder" so that might be the problem perhaps :?: (I'm only guessing)

How many galleries do you have open?

The Send To Gallery feature will only work correctly with 10 or less open at any one time.

We will look at this further for future releases.

Thanks a lot, Brendon :D That was the solution. When I installed Pro 05 all of the Opus Standard galleries showed up and then I had a few of my own - never thought that it could be the number of galleries that was causing the problem.

It doesn't really matter if you know it but if you don't you get a bit worried about things that may be wrong with your system. I closed all the galleries I don't need and everything works like a charm now :D

Thanks again!
