I have a feeling that this may be relatively easy (I hope) so here goes. We have a job coming up that will require us to compare two (or perhaps 3 or 4) pages within a publucation side by side.

For example, we have four houses on four different pages; each page will link to it's own set of floor plans; on another page we can have a list of all floor plans; we would like something like a checkbox for each floor plan that the customer can check (up to four) and then on another page the items that the customer checked will come up side by side (if two are selected) or one in each corner if three or four are selected. Our client would like their customers to be able to compare floor plans side by side. We can probably limit this two two items as opposed to three or four - which would probably be easier and not crowd the screen too much. Is this doable - and if so, how?

They are also plannning this to be used for a Kiosk w/touchscreen. Has anyone had any problems/special suggestions when working with touchscreens?

Thanks!

Dave Williams

Dave --

Check out one of my favorite OPUS features -- MultiFrames. Set up variables for each floor plan which can be selected. On your "group" Page have two, three or four MultiFrames. Have the first Frame in each MultiFrame be a "blank." Have the other Models/floor plans in the remaining Frames.

You'll have to create a logic Frame (or on the Page) with an "On Show" which will check to see if a Variable has been selected, then it will display the correct Frame in the first MultiFrame (MultiFrames -> Go to a specific frame), then it will select a different Frame in the second MultiFrame, etc. Take a look at my second favorite OPUS feature -- "Select & Case" to help with your logic rather than using a bunch of IF & ELSE statements. Make sense?

Hi Fred!

Thanks for responding! I have an idea of what you're talking about, but can't seem to grasp the workflow. I hate to even ask you to take the time, but would it be possible to make a short, detailed review of this procedure. I've done the simple stuff before but have NEVER worked with variables or multiframes and I'm finding it difficult to wrap my head around the logic on how this should be done.

Thanks Again!
