I am using Pro 04.21

I encountered a small problem with this feature this afternoon.

I have a publication which currently has 107 chapters, each with 7 pages. I estimate I have approximately 400 similar chapters to add, so the issue I encountered assumes significant importance.

All went well creating the menu pages until I reached what should have been Menu Page 101.

From this point, the menu page numbers do not increment. They remain fixed on QuickBuild_Menu_Page_100_ as you can see:

Any ideas? Is this a built-in limit or a bug?

there is a limitation on that you can only have up to 100 items automatically renumbered. this means that even though you could paste 200 times. the highest number you would see is 100.

the next service release will remove this limitation.

fyi opus is limited to over 2 billion instances of any one particular object type. e.g. buttons.

(plus room for another 2 billion objects in the player for cloned objects).

this is ajust a theoretical limit. you'd run out of time, money, memory hd space, cpu power etc, long before you got to this limit.

While it's not difficult to renumber manually, with large numbers it's nice to have it happen without human intervention. Looking forward to the next service release.
