I'm working on a small pub, currently 10 chapters, 100 pages and 374 resources.
The disk structure for this pub is:
F:\Read\ for the IMP and associated files. and and
F:\Read\Resource\ for the resources. This looks OK to me. I've used similar structures for years without a problem -- until now.
I save my work automatically, and manually.
Everything is fine until I first Save, and then attempt
File > Backup Publication... This runs to completion and appears to work as expected until I restart Opus. My pub opens and Opus announces that there are 374 resources missing. I click to open the Resource Manager.
I select
Change Data Path, and this is where things get strange. The dialogue box displays:
Remap Resources at this location: F:\Read\
To this location: F:\Read\Resource\
I have not placed any resources in F:\Read\ but when I click OK, the resources are remapped and appear in the pubwhere I originally placed them.
My first thought was a corrupt registry entry, so I uninstalled Opus, cleared the registry and HDD, and reinstalled Opus. No change.
I've not experienced this before, and I've been using 5.5 since shortly after it appeared.
Has anyone expreienced this? Or better still, identified a resolution? Of course the work around is to not use the File > Backup Publication... function and make my own backups, which is what I will do.
