I remember years ago when using the illuminatus program that when publishing to CD-ROM, I could create a setup file that allowed some of the publication files to be installed on the users HD, but large video files to remain on the CD, and be run from the CD.

Can anyone point me in the right direction - Do I do this when creating the publication, or when creating the distribution files???

So all I want is not to have to install the video files on their computer, but I do want the exe files etc... to be installed. Is this possible - Im using OPUS 2.8x

Hi,

Go to Tools > Resource Manager, and select "Publish Location".

Once there, you should have all the options you need for where files will be located by the publication.

Don't forget to use <SYSTEM_CD_DRIVE> system variable for the path of your video files, as the user will be installing your publication on their hard disk.

e.g. of path...

<SYSTEM_CD_DRIVE>\videos\myVideo1.avi
