I try to use this to action within a timeline. I set the action type to "move to" and put in the X/Y coordinates to which the object should move. In my case this is 256/324.

When testing this page the object moves not to this place. Instead it moves down to a place outside the visible page. I am a little bit confused about this behaviour. Maybe it's my mistake but I cannot find out how to move the object to a specific X/Y coordinate.

Help is appreciated.

T.

Addendum: The object is a "scale to fit" object which is resized to a smaller size than the original image. Is it possible that this is the reason?

Hi Tarantoga,

Is the object contained in a frame? (as that can then affect the reference point of the object)

However, if you want to move to a specific x,y point, you can use the script syntax of: SetPosition()

e.g. ObjectName.SetPosition(256, 324, 2)
//moves the object to those x,y coordinates over 2 seconds)

Does that help?

Hi Steve,

thanks for your help. I will try this out. The object was not contained in a frame (maybe in a group). I have now used path animations instead.

Thanks :D

T.
