Hello all

This is a really simple one I guess but it's got me foxed!

Can anyone help please?

I want to put a text imput box on the first page of my publication which, when the user enters a page number, will take the user to that page. I'm able to do the text input box and assign a variable name it. I guess the initial variable will be 0. But how do I then convert that variable into a page number. The pages in the publication all have page names but I'm also using a 'pagenum' variable that is displayed on each page. So I need users to input their page number and then get teaken to that page (pagenum).
Many thanks fo reading/offering help.
Kind regards
Aidan

Hi Aidan

I've attached an example of how this can be accomplished using standard actions. This could also be scripted. Possibly, other Forum colleagues may be able to create a simpler way to achieve the same results.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Aidan --

I've attached a sample of a solution for allowing someone to input a number, then have OPUS go to that Page. When you download this, make sure you have NOTES VIEW turned on as well as COMMENTS because I have used both to explain what's happening. I also have one example of how you could type either "1" or "one" and have them both work.

This sample uses a Custom Triger/Action, Select/Case logic, and some nice sensors to give messages to the user.
