Hi,
I have a small publication which runs a ticker (0.3s) to read a registry key to variable A (This var represents amount of litres filled)

I also have another two variables, B & C.

The variable B increments by 1 when variable A reaches certain figures. (var B represents amount of pallets completed)

The variable C is the total amount of litres required for the order. I need variable C to reduce by a set amount of litres every time variable B increments.

My problem is that Var B can stay the same number for a long time.

If I set up variable B to increment when A reaches 10 then set up variable C to change when Variable B changes, the figure I require to subtract from variable C loops until variable B changes. Is there any way to run the variable change only once?

Can uanyone understand or offer help?

Synergy

""""""""" I understand what you are saying, but need to see an example of the problem.

I've had problems before using the ticker and 'variable changed' trigger, but that was with system variables, but it could be a similar problem??? Basically, I assumed I could set a ticker to watch when the time system variable changed, but the system actually refreshes the variables continually and this gave a true result in my comparison....even thought the time had not changed (I had created a talking alarm and was watching to see when the system time matched the alarm set time).

If you have your C# program running in the background--it actually runs in a loop, continually updating the registry, even though the value is not changing. it might be a similar problem??

can you include a sample??

Hi Sandy,

I will post the Imp asap. I am really busy with production issues at the moment but will get round to it soon.
