Hi

In a DB project, once data is entered on a data collection form and stored to an Access DB, I would like to display a list or table containing a few elements so the user can see what they have already entered and decide whether to make changes, add new records, delete info etc.

A working version of the data collection form is posted on this Forum as an attachment at:
http://www.digitalgrapevine.info/viewtopic.php?t=2622

A feature of the data collection and DB storage is that the form saves for each new person (for whom data is entered) into the same variables and a row written into the DB uniquely identified by auto-incrementing ID number.

I'm not sure how to efficiently set up this display and assure that as new data is entered, the display is updated to reflect the latest info. Just can't seem to get my brain around how to populate a display list or table from a DB.

Any ideas and/or a sample would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Hi Stephen,

Have sent you an email about the last IMP. Not sure quiet what you're getting at here.

Is this table per user, or as an overview of all the users in the DB?

Mack

Hi Mack

Wrote back by email. Will clarify here too, for other viewers.

This would be a list of all entered family members currently in the DB, plus their ID # for extra identification. Sort of like a TOC, so that individuals can be searched and have their full records displayed in the text input boxes on the form page, for editing, etc.

Kind Regards,
