Hy,

I am trying to do something simple but I can't do it,....
well you draw a vector line inside a frame , at the beginning of the vector line we have letter A, and in the middle letter B,
the vector line can rotate clockwise or counter clockwise or move,
in the same time letters A and B will rotate together maintaining their original position on the vector line,
well what I CAN'T DO is that I want to keep the letters straight oriented to the North while they rotate , in this case upwards,
....it is simple but I cant do it ....any help?

thanks..

OK, let me see if I understand your problem;

While the line rotates with the letters on the line, you want the letters to rotatate also as the line moves through a 360 degree circle?

That means for example, as the line rotates say clockwise, the letters have to rotate anti-clockwise to maintain their north orientation - yes?

Therefore the letters would have to be objects that rotate at the same rotation speed as the line but in the opposite rotation and would have to also change position on the x/y axis as the line rotates.

I'm getting dizzy! :-)

Can you post the page that is causing your issue please?

Thanks

Graham

Sherif --

I created three Text Objects: A, B, & C. I then created three circle Animation Paths (1,2,3), placing the second, smaller diameter Path inside the first, and the third, even smaller diameter Path inside the second. I rotated the Paths to 270 degrees (which places their top/start point at the far left side of each Path). I moved the center of each Text Object over the start point of each respective Path.

I created a Button Object with a Simulataneous Action (under Programming) with an Animate <A> along Path 1 duration 6 seconds, and a Type of Absolute; Animate <B> along Path 2 duration 6 seconds, and a Type of Absolute; and finally Animate <C> Along Path 3 duration 6 seconds, and a Type of Absolute.

When I Preview, the three letters move around the outer edge of their circles in tandem, while maintaining their correct orientation, then return to their original positions. You will have to adjust your Paths to make this work perfectly.

There is no EASY or AUTOMATIC way to accomplish this. It becomes very complex the more letters you are trying to rotate. Personally, I would try one of OPUS' Rotate Transitions instead of taking so much time with this Animation effect.
