Hello all,

I'm trying to use my new Trust Wireless Presenter Mouse to remote control my presentations. This mouse has two extra buttons that emulate the {Alt+right arrow} and {Alt+left arrow} keystrokes.

So I tried creating multi-trigger Actions in my Master page so these Alt keys do the same as what the right and left arrows already do, which is (obviously) to flip pages forward and backward. But it seems Opus doesn't recognize the Alt modifier at all. Sending "real" Alt+arrow keystrokes also doesn't work.

I have Opus Pro 5.5.

Any clues?

Thanks,

I don't quite follow what you are saying, but I did a quick verification of the alt modifier in 5.5 and it works OK.
I had a button and simply attached an ALT+ARROW trigger to the button.
Can you attach a sample
Sandy

Yes, here it is. Maybe this helps clarify the problem.

The same happened when I tried it, but as a test, I removed the multi trigger and just used the ALT+ARROW trigger, it works OK---doesn't solve your problem, but it's a pointer

Hmmm... nope, sorry. Just tried it, but removing the multi-trigger doesn't work to me either (see attachment).

try deleting the multi trigger, then re-inserting with the ALT+ARROW first, then insert the others below.

YES! Now I got it. Reinserting worked because you (like me) probably inserted a Key Press trigger. What Opus does not recognize is the Release trigger for Alt+arrows, that's it. Now even my multi-triggers work!

(But you should fix this, of course.)

Thanks a lot,

I nearly always use the key press, rather than release, but that's what seems to cause this behaviour. I just think it's the way it functions rather than a problem.

With all due respect, I don't think so. If it was meant to be like this, the Alt check box would be disabled for Key Release, and the doc would mention it (I think it doesn't).

Anyway I won't use Release next time, of course ;)
