I have used Opus to develop a distance learning course, and one of the course participants says that the CD Rom doesn't run on his Mac. Please could someone advise me as to what I need to do to make an Opus publication which is already written Mac-compatible.

As far as I can recall, Opus has never claimed to run on a Mac.

If you can convert your pub to a Flex pub, it might give you what you want.

I suggest that you check the Help Files.

Hi Ian,
I have come across this problem many times. Just tell your customer that he/she needs to install a free program produced for MAC users called bootcamp. This program will help to create a partition where they can install windows XP and everytime they want to run your OPus application they will need to boot up the computer on windows XP instead of the MAC OS.
It is not complicated and you may offer to help. I have done it before and the customers appreciate not only the time you take to help them but also they like the situation of learning how to do this "Geeky things".
Other than than, there is no way.
I hope this helps
German

I am suprised that this was not taken into account during the design
phase of your project.
In general, if I need to produce a pub executable that has to run on both Macs and Windows I would not use Opus as an authoring tool.

There are no cheap options to run an Opus executable file designed
for Windows on a Mac.
We run a landscape design course, and some of the tuition is built
with Opus. Some Mac users run Windows in order to take our course. We
recommend they use XP over OSX using interface software called
"Parallels". Some use Bootcamp. However, this is not a cheap option for a casual user.
Unless your pub is unique or has a high price tag no one will use this option.

Paul
