Hi, this is the first time I'll be building a pub using the latest settings for a publication with updates in the future.
Could you please share with me your experiences in this field with Opus Pro 6.0 and also please advise me on advantages/disavantages of split up the updates in chapters of pages.
Your sharing will be highly appreciated.
Cheers
Koala

Brilliant system!

The difference between using chapters / pages will depend on how you intend on organising your publication and what you are likely to need updating.

If you are mostly updating all pages in an entire chapters, or adding a new chapter then use the chapter method because it creates less files and is likely to be smaller in size.

If on the other hand you will be simply replacing / adding a couple of pages in the publication then use this method. As you will have more files from your initial publication, the size is likely to be larger, but the actual updates will be smaller - that replacing a whole chapter for the sake of two pages (for example).

The next thing to consider is how other pages access the update chapters / pages. If you have individual links on all the existing pages that can jump to the new page / chapter, then all these pages will need updating - which is a great waste. Use templates and design your publication to be aware of these new pages / chapters automatically.

Have a look at the Functions example I post yonks ago on how to find all pages within a chapter and play around with publishing this with updates as it's quite easy to understand how the process works from this example.

Hope this helps,

Mack

Thanks mate, greatly appreciated! I am sure I'll have more questions along the way.
Again, thanks
