can you give a bit more explanation of what you are trying to do??

You can have different sound objects and have individual control of each,
start/stop/volume etc, but I don't know of any way in Opus to direct
sounds to different sound cards ......I've never had a
PC with two sound cards, so I don't know what facilities Windows gives
when there are two sound cards? I think you would have to select one as
default , but you could then select the other for individual applications,
but not sure?

You can have internal channels in Opus, but they are all directed to the
default sound card.

If your application doesn't have a requirement for stereo, you could just
use the left and right channels and have 'left' MP3's and 'right' MP3's, but not sure what you are trying to achieve.

Hello Sandy,
I am working on a project for a small radiostation.
They like to have 2 players on the screen (no problem) and they have a PC with 2 soundcards (nothing special)
When they gonne use this players they must have the possibility to PFL (pre fade listen) one audiotrack while the other one is playing.

And yes there are a lot of expensive and free solutions on the marked, but i like to "play" with Opus so...

Kind regards,

I created a dual MP3 player with faders/cross faders, but could not find a way in opus to do the pre fade listen, because the sound is always directed to the default sound card. If you find a solution, I would love to know!!

A possibility in Opus is to control the soundcard via a DLL, if one exists?? that is one way to control external hardware from Opus.
