Hello,
I would like to get the Plexus plugin (for.exe) on a CD to a clients who don't have internet access at work. Is that file the same as the Plexus Web Plugin that's on the Downloads page, or is there a different file I need?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

As far as I can tell, having never needed to do this, the file on the DW site is a standalone installation. Your clients would need to run the .exe before they could use the Plexus publication.

This exe installs plugin-ins for both IE & Firefox.

However, if you are trying to alter the default path found in the publication options then this seems to need a CAB file (see the publication HTML) which works for IE but not FF. FF has a DLL in the FF plug-in folder but how this gets there without running the standalone .exe or using the web download I'm afraid I don't know.

Hope some of this helps,

Mack

Hi Mack,
Thanks for replying so quickly. So, if I'm understanding you correctly, the Plexus plugin for pubs exported for use on the web is the same plugin file that's used for for pubs exported to the Plexus .exe format, right?

In simple terms - yes.

If you were to include the plug-in here:

http://www.digitalworkshop.com/OpusPlug ... _setup.exe

on your CD (might want to check with DW that you can do that?) and have your clients run the installation - they will be able to use Plexus Publications.
