 Post subject: We are Lucky
PostPosted: January 20th, 2005, 2:21 pm
Yesterday I managed to run over my copy of Pro 04 with my office chair taking it to 6 pieces, just one of these things that happen but enough to make me think about getting it replaced. In normal cases I would be worrying but then we have the suport of DW and that where I think we are lucky

One phone call with an instant connection and once they identify you, the replacement is on its way, so less than 20 hours later my new copy is in the rack safe and sound.

I have had dealings in the past with some companys ,where by the time I had finished on the phone I had pressed numerous buttons, listened to rubbish music and still did get the answer I wanted and of course had probably paid enough to go out and buy a new copy of the programme.

So to DW I say thank you for providing such excellent service to us Opus users, long may it continue.

Danny Gray

Danny --

That was very kind of you to post a "positive" back to DW. I'm sure they appreciate it.

I've been using Illuminatus and now OPUS for years. I've looked at other products, but nothing compares to OPUS or DW service! Yes, whenever you develop something new, there are going to be problems, but there are usually several ways to do things in OPUS, plus DW is responsive to problems.

Some of the things new users in particular expect OPUS to be able to do (because they want it) are pretty outrageous. Many times it turns out the desired feature is needed for a game they are building for themselves. People need to remember OPUS is an interactive multimedia presentation tool, and not a simple replacement for a complex application development tool.

I too would like to pass back to DW a big THANK YOU for your efforts on our behalf.
