Can an Opus publication open a password protected file, such as a word document automatically?
I am in the process of producing an e-book which opens a number of word files from a CD, but I only want the user to be able to open the files by using the publication.

Many thanks in advance.

I have, and I'm not sure how to get the publication to input the password without the user having to do so.

Is it possible for me to write a script action do do this?

The important thing to me is that the word files cannot be opened without the publication.

Thanks.

Try looking for a command line option which allows you to open word documents. I had a quick look, but didn't see any which allows you to enter the password as a parameter.
