I have an object which I want to animate away. I have set up a pre hide trigger (I have also tried on hide), to play a sound and then animate the hide. This is fine except when I issue the hide from a timeline, it then plays the sound but ignores the animated hide presumably becuase it has already hidden the object. Any suggestions??

Don't know for sure what's going on here. But something to look for is what checkboxes you have set... for the transitions. You will find these as part of an object's properties. Also there is often a checkbox in the dialog for 'always use this transition' in the specific hide or show. Option there is to use the default (i.e. objects properties trans.)

To complicate, animations themselves can be a fade or zoom out, etc.

Last note... when you set up a timeline event, that event has its own settings and parameters (does not 'call' some other action).

BTW, you are asking about "Creator". Post belongs in the Creator section of forum. Thx.
