I am trying to make a quiz, I have set up some variables that hold the answers to the questions.

I have then made some Input text boxes that write the answer to another variable.

My problem is that I can not seem to get the answer variable to compare itself against the answer and score the question.

Any help please.

I am using Opus 6.4

Thanks

legin,

Frankly, I think I do not understand the problem. It is hard to know 'where you are' or 'what you've done'.

Maybe some general pointers will help.
* there is a difference between Page variable and Pub variable. So if you are doing operations across pages, you may need a more permanent 'container' like a Pub variable.
* testing or comparing variable values... pay attention to whether you have numbers, text, strings. Pay attention to putting string values in quotes. etc etc

* there are many sources of HELP ...that can help you create quizzes.
-- sample pubs that came with Opus (see these under the File menu)
-- Quiz Wizard
-- Forum has section on Tutorials (be logged-in to see attachments and to download sample files)
-- do a Search on the Forum for: quiz (other people have donated several sample .imp files ( Pubs ).)

good luck.

Take a look at the OPUS 6.0 IMP file I created which has several options for doing what you want. Make sure your COMMENTS are turned ON so you can read my comments regarding the Actions.
