You are correct. While OPUS says you can Drag & Drop an Input Text Object, I was not able to do so, because OPUS thinks I want to add more information into my Text Input Variable rather than enabling the ability to drag it.
I've come up with a work-around which uses a Text Object which contains the same Variable you name in your Text Input Object. I have it set where when you press the TAB or ENTER key the original Text Input Object is hidden, and the replacement Text Object is shown. You can then drag and drop the Text Object into a Frame/whatever, where upon the Variable is reset. I created a second drop object so you can drag the Text Object back to its original location which then allows you to repeat the entire process.
