I have downloaded from the Digital Workshop site an evaluation copy of Opus Pro v6.4 in order to verify if the features of this software could satisfy my requests regarding a project which I would like to develope.
During the tests on the Text Box properties I have seen a stranger behaviour of the mouse pointer. When I try to go over a link-word to activate it, in the case I have applied a border to the Text Box, the mouse pointer activates the link not only when it is directly over the word but already at a certain distance from it.
It seems that this distance is proportional to the size of the border applied to the Text Box. This issue is more evident creating in the Text Box a list of more link-words using a medium size font.
Removing the border from the Text Box removes the problem.

Is there something to do for the solution of this issue?

Thanks in advance

Hi Tony and welcome to Opus.

What an interesting problem. I couldn't see anything obvious but a simple solution is to place the text box inside a frame which has the border instead.

See attached exampled.

Mack

Thanks Mack for what you suggest but I would like to insert into the Text Box a list of hypertext words and I would need to add also a scrollbar. In this case the scrollbar would remain inside the border of the frame and this would be really ugly to look at.
If I drag the scroll bar outside the border of the frame (i.e. the correct position for me), some problem arise also if a shadow is applied to the objects depending from their single layer. In any case this procedure would be too much complicate especially using many Text Boxes with hypertext lists.
Looking better at what happens, it seems that there is some problem of text line formatting adding a border to the Text Box and the issue becomes evident only when the text includes a hypertext list. I think that the Text Boxes in such kind of software have to be considered as basic objects with all their properties and actions perfectly working.
For this reason I don’t believe possible that each time I create a Text Box with hypertext inside I have to put around it a frame as border as I can choose this action directly in the Text Box properties menu.

Do you think it could be a bug?
Anyone found the same problem ?
