Can anyone help please? I have included soome Flash created with Opus in a test website and it does not show.

I have used this technique for years now and suddenly it has ceased to work.

The test site is www.wlc.cascadingstyles.co.uk I have tested the site with a separately created flash element (on the right side of the banner) and tha tworks OK.

I am using Opus version v6.01 Pro Build date May 13 2008 01:17:38

I have tested on several computers with the same result.

Also, if I right click and select play I can sometimes get the Flash movie to play.

Do I need to download a patch from the Opus website

Many thanks
Martin

Yes Martin,

A quick search would have thrown up that Flash 10 made changes that Opus didn't like and you need to patch Opus.

See Dave's technical support announcement in the section above.

Hi mackavi,

I have patched my version of Opus 6 from DW's site (I think I was using the latest patch already) but I see in the 'about' tab that the version is still the same as the one I used previously (May 13 2008).

Where is the technical support announcement that you refer to please?

Unfortunately, I neeed to go and talk to a client later today and will not be able to demonstrate a functioning propsed web page. I suppose it might work on his computer if he has an older version of Flash installed, but not very professional.

I see in one of the posts a reference to version 6.4, but it is not clear where to obtain this - all I can download is version 6.01 - which I already am using.

I have both the patch and the vista version of 6.01 and neither work.

I will continue to search the forum using (Flash+version10) to try and find this technical report.

Thanks for your help

Martin

Hi, can anyyone tell me where I can get Opus Pro version 6.4.

I have downloaded the patches from DW's site (again) and all it does is produce version 6.01!

I have obtaind the full Vista version as recently as June 2008 and installed it but it still tells me that is is version 6.01 build May 13 2008.

I think the problem is possibly that I have just reinstalled onto a new HD and may have saved the wrong installation files.

The flash update is here: viewtopic.php?t=3431

The update for 6.4 for send out by email ages ago. Send DW an email if you didn't get the link.

Also if you want to check that it is a Flash 10 problem, download version 9.0 and install that instead to check.

I have now got it sorted.

What happened was that I had the 6.4 download but not in an Opus directory I had created in my downloads file, but in the downloads root.

I have just upgraded by fitting a new 1TB HD and reinstalling all my system.

What I don't understand is why the download on the DW site is for 6.01.

Many thanks for your help, I managed to update everything with minutes to spare and looks like I have the job!

Kind regards

Martin
