Hi All,

here's the problem i have a pub that copys User ID to clip board and it does that ( if i open note Pade i can paste it in ) BUT if you have a text input on a web page and want to CTRL V ( paste it back) it wont do it..........

Not only that but if you ask OPUS to load a 2nd Var to clip Board to replace the first 1 , it wont OVERWrite or do that either..

Am i the first to find this bug ?????

Al

Al,

The fact that the variable is in the clipboard for notepad would suggest the bug lies outside of Opus.

I did a quick test under FF & IE using both pop-up and html form boxes and both pasted from the clipboard and both accept more than one copy-paste action.

What the heck is wrong with my system then LOL....

I have it set so that when page loads it " Copys Txt to Var1" then with a keypress ( space Bar ) it " Copys Var1 to Clipboard " then i can paste it where ever i want ( so i hoped)....

Now i tested this with Note pad and it wouldn't work....i will try again.....

How did u trigger yours ????

Al

It's probably the 128bit MP3s. Time to give it some Flac.

I've already posted a working example here viewtopic.php?t=3802

I deleted the original after posting. I'll knock another example up tomorrow sometime.

If only I had that as an excuse :-)

Lets try again.

Ah - found the problem - "The Extension 7z is not allowed". Seems the DW forum is not up on the latest and greatest free compression program :-)

Back to zip.

Mack

Plain and simple Mack.....

This how i do it When page loads it copys page1ID.txt to Variable Page1ID and Page1Pass.txt to Page1Pass . I then used key Press ( spaceBar) to load the ID and TAB to load Password ( i have tried different keys ).....

So far i can get the first to load BUT the 2nd seems to not load to clipboard BUT yes it does load the Variable....I am going to examine it 1 more time...

Question , do you know how to the Cursor focus on the first text input box in a web page ?

Al

Ps: Thanks for your time , i know you are a busy man....

OK Mack...................i am stumped but i found something..............Try creating a browser and then try to paste back into the text input from a web site...............it wont let me......also the clipboard here will only retain 1 input...

Hi Al,

Thanks for the sample. Both issues work fine from this end but changing between an Opus publication and a browser object is always going to be messy. They are two different programs and you don't have access to keyboard action within the browser object.

That said, if you're careful you can cut and paste in both directions - more than once.

Mack
