I have a publication that has been developed from four other publications.

It is nearing finished, but I have one inherent problem that I can't seem to remove at all.

No matter what colour I set the background on a page to, they always appear to fade from a light yellow colour to the colour I set, within about the first 0.5 seconds that each page is displayed for.

Some of the pages used to have a green background.

I have highlighted all of the pages in question, and removed all backgrounds from them, removed all page on and page off fades and transitions, and removed all borders. IS there anything else i can do to reset this, as otherwise it will be a major detractor from an otherwise completed project?

I look forward to any and all suggestions!

Thanks (in hope!)

Paul

Hard to say... especially when not knowing or seeing how you've approached the pub, how you've used actions, frames, transitions, timelines, etc.

If you have used Master Pages and possibly nested Master Pages, I would find a way to temporarily bypass those or substitute-in some barebones MP.

If you've used Layers at dev time (in the Opus Editor), you may find some subtle but unintended 'effects' at runtime.... as Opus works to display things. This is easy to troubleshoot. Do a 'Save As' to create a throw-away working copy of the pub. Then flatten all the layers (probably page by page). If that changes things, then you'll narrow in on where to look.

Timeline actions could have an effect.
Opening Chapters in separate windows has an effect.

Last thing I can think of... there are some 'universal' (?) settings related to animation priority (~complete one action/animation before starting another).

I am sure there are 30 more possible causes and cures. But from here it is just shooting in the dark.
