I'm putting a small banner on each of several website pages. The opus pub is 2 pages, page 1 is a small jpg (about 12kb) which shows for 4 secs and page 2 is a text message with on show text animation.
The swf file is about 25kb
I've disabled preloader in the publish settings. I would have thought page 1 would load pretty quickly.
When the page loads there is a brief flash of white before the swf appears and plays. It stops the flash from launching seamlessly and irritates me.
I tried using the initial jpg as a preloader image but it still flashes before showing.
Any advice welcome.

you can see an example of it here
http://titirangitheatre.co.nz/index.htm
then click on auditions and look at the titirangi theatre banner.

Turns out that wasn't the issue, although I will set my surround colour from now on.
The issue is with specifying a background colour in the parameters when you embed the flash file on the html page...
"<param name="BGColor" value="668082">"
this solved it.

thanks again
