Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
It appears that the asterisk input mask used by the Password setting is not being embedded into the published file and I have asked our developers to look into this as a matter of priority.
One workaround would be to install a dedicated password font where each character is signified by an asterisk. You could then set the text input box to use this special font and this behaviour should be correctly embedded into the Flash file upon publishing.
I have supplied below a link to a font which Illuminatus and Opus users have found useful in the past:
http://www.eccker.org/ilm/utilities/passwordfont1.zip
Simply extract the contents of this zip folder to your Fonts directory (C:\Windows\Fonts, by default), then launch Opus, load in your publication and select the Text Input box which will contain the password information. Now simply open the list of fonts and select the Password font (it will be represented by a string of asterisks).
Now publish and test the result SWF file and you should find that the inputted text is displayed as asterisks.
I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.
Kind regards,
