Hi,
I've created a publication using Opus Pro 05 XE and would like to create a standalone publication to be distributed on CD. I would like the CD to autorun when loaded. How do i do this? Please help.
Mike

Hi Mike

When you publish the program you'll see a "create autorun.inf file" option. Simply check this.

Regards

Roger

Hi Roger,
Thank you for your reply to my question on how to autorun a CD.
I have tried what you suggested but when i load the CD an autoplay window opens that gives the user the general option to open the folder to view files. This allows them to send the program to MyDocs (for eg) and the program can then be opened without the CD. What i would like is for the program to automatically load/run (not sure of the terminology) once the cd is loaded. Is this possible?
Regards, Mike

Opus: Evolution
Hi Mike,

What Roger said was correct. If you select the AutoRun option, Opus will create that file in the same directory as the publication. Inside this file is normally three lines that look like this:

Code:
[autorun]
OPEN=Untitled1.exe
ICON=Untitled1.exe

The Unititled1.exe is the name of your publication. If you've renamed this, it will not work! Simply create the ISO or added the files to your favourite burning application, such as Nero and create the CD. If AutoRun is set-up correctly on your computer it will launch the application. By default, it works on every OS, I've ever used up to and including W7x64.
