I've been wondering this for years.

Working in Opus Pro, pages that i click on often open in a separate window rather than in the pane in the main Opus window. It bothers me.

Does anyone know why it does this?

This should be unchecked. Opus will then open all pages in the same window. The exception seems to be Scripts which open in their own window.

HI,

Thanks Mack, for answering.

That option is unchecked, but it still does it.

Maybe I'm misrepresenting what it does. Attached is a screenshot of what it does.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Not sure what I'm looking at. I can only see one page.

Hi,
Normally it opens directly in the pane (no title bar), but sometimes the window opens like it does in the attached image, with a title bar. It's not a big thing, but it bothers me. so I was curious to see if there's anything i can do to stop it from happening.
Thanks,
Mike

mbain,

Some suggestions:

* check your Page and Object naming to make sure they are unique.
* why not post some useful support information about the version of Opus you are using and your PC system configuration and graphics card info?
* Open one of DW's Sample Publications and see if the same issues surface there. If not, maybe something is corrupt in your Pub.
* You do not say what the Publication Type is and whether you have changed it back and forth from one Type to another.
* Try Launching Opus with the Ctrl + Alt option so the Registry settings are reset (of course you lose your customizations in your workspace).
* Post with a .imp attachment so the problem can be viewed on another machine.

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
*All names unique.
*PC: Dual core, 2 gb RAM, good nvidia video card
*Version 7, but that won't matter because I've had this issue since at least version 4
*Tried sample pub (Anagram-a-gram), it has same issue. However, I figured it wouldn't be a corrupt pub, because it has happened on several pubs throughout the years, and almost every pub since I started using 7.
*Web pub (Plexus plugin). I didn't change types.
*Try the Anagram-a-gram pub and see if you have the issue.

Like I said, it's not a big issue. It's just very annoying, so I thought if someone knew the fix right off the top of their head, that'd be cool. But honestly, I wouldn't want you to waste your time on something so trivial, so let's just forget it.
