Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
You can display web pages within an Opus publication using the
Browser tool. Simply click
Insert > Browser to activate this tool, then draw a frame on the page where you want the web page to appear.
You will now be prompted to specify the address of the web site. If the web site is live on the web, simply type in the full address to the web page, for example:
http://www.digitalworkshop.com
Now apply the changes, preview the publication and the chosen web page should be displayed within the Browser object.
If the HTML file you wish to display is locally-stored and you want to include this as a file on the publication CD, I would recommend setting the address to the following:
<SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR>document.htm
This tells the browser object to look within the directory from which it is running (which will be the root of the publication CD when distributed) to find a HTML file named 'document.htm'. You can obviously change this filename to match your HTML file.
Please note that when you are developing your project, <SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR> is the directory in which the project .imp file is currently saved, so you will need to ensure that any HTML files referenced using this variable have been copied to this directory if you want the Browser object to work when previewed.
When you publish your project, simply ensure that you copy the HTML file to the root of the publication CD with the published executable and the Browser object should be able to find the target resource without problems.
Kind regards,
