Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
This could possibly occur if you have removed certain system fonts from the system which the About box expects to be available in Windows' Fonts directory.
If you have recently removed fonts from your system and suspect this may be the cause, you should be able to use the following procedure to reinstall the necessary fonts and restore full functionality:
- Insert your Windows installation CD-ROM into the drive and click Exit when the autorun menu appears
- Right-click on the Start button and select Explore
- Navigate to the root of your C: drive
- Click File > New > Folder to create a new folder and name it 'tempfonts'
- Now click Start > Run, type
cmd and click OK
- Type the drive-letter of the CD drive containing the Windows installation CD, followed by a colon (for example,
D:) and press Enter
- Now type
cd i386 and press Enter
- Type
expand -r *.fo_ C:\tempfonts and press Enter
- Once the expansion is complete, type
expand -r *.tt_ C:\tempfonts and press Enter
- Once the expansion is complete, close the Command Prompt using the X icon in the top-right of the window
- Right-click on the Start button and select Explore
- Navigate to C:\tempfonts - you should see a series of *.ttf and *.fon files
- Click Edit > Select All
- Click Edit > Copy
- Navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts
- Click Edit > Paste. If you are prompted to overwrite any files, click
Yes To All
- Once all files have been transferred, launch Opus and click Help > About Opus Professional
