Is there a way to open a screen in a new window in a flex pub?

Thanks, Linda

Not sure I understand what you're trying to do :-)

Ok, I've got a pub (like the Carillion one you've seen).

It has a Glossary page , accessible from the main navigation panel at the bottom (this is the page you just fixed)

I wanted this page to open in a second Internet Explorer window, so the user could have the glossary open in a second tab if required.

So I set the Glossary chapter as "Display in new window", but, on publish, it said that this wasn't available in a flex pub.

Thanks, Linda

Ah, I think that actually isn't a function for Flex. A new window would require launching a separate webpage in a browser window or tab. If there is no SCORM communication or interaction with the source SWf, then you could probably just do the same thing you are doing with the PDFs and launch a custom SWF / PDF or HTML page for the glossary.

If communication is required, then still probably possible but a little more interesting to implement.

Linda,

Have you tried having the glossary as a separate publication which is then launched by the original - that should do what you need. If the publication is quite small you could have a multiframe object on the master page - note that this would make a publication with a lot of pages quite big.

Paul

Nice to hear from you Paul - hope all's well.

I'll test this tomorrow - thanks for your suggestion.
