A question about preloading and flex pubs.
If I put a video (flv) object in a flex pub it's not actually in the pub but lives in the same folder?
When it gets played by the pub does it stream or does it have to preload entirely before it plays?
Is it practical to create flex pubs with videos?

any advice welcome.

1. Yes, it's an external file.

2. I think it'll play progressively. You'd have to confirm. Streaming requires a media server and that the FLV is encoded for streaming. I don't know whether Opus would support this even if it was the set-up. Progressive gives the short delay because the file is cached to the HDD first before playing. In Flash you can specify the buffer, but again I don't think this is possible in Opus. The delay will therefore be depended on how quickly the necessary amount of video is downloaded and cached.

3. Depends. Functionality of FLVs is very limited. If you just want to play and stop at the end - then yes you should be all right.
