I have a number of flash files *.swf that run just great using Flash Player. The trouble comes when I try to run any of these files in a video frame - I can get the first frame of the file to show but only when I select Chroma Key from the Video Type selection area. Unfortunately, thats all I get. The flash file is an interactive activity that has the user click on navigation buttons to move through the tutorial.
At this point, the only way I can get the file to run correctly is to create a button that launches the flash file itself, thereby loading it right into the Adobe Flash Player. I would prefer not to have the file play in the Flash Player interface.
Any solutions out there?

Thanks,
Hughs

Hi Hughs,

An interactive SWF and a video SWF are two different things. The latter being merely an SWF container that houses a flash video file. The video object in Opus is for this type. There is an object called Docview - three buttons down on the vertical toolbar - click on the drop down arrow - that plays interactive SWFs.

However, some of the changes to Windows over the years can cause problems with this method but give it a try and see.

Mack

Thank you very much. The Dov View worked perfectly.

Be aware that the person playing your Opus publication will need to have the Flash player installed on their machine in order for that DocView method to work.
