Hi there,

Does anyone know if the launch webpage in opus flex is no longer working????
Works in preview but not in a published project for me (i.e in a browser window)!!!

I have tried both Mack's and others suggestions - but does not work in any browser that I have tried....

I am assuming it is the flash security settings - but cannot see a way to over come it.

Pete

No it's not broken but it may depend on how you're using the SWF.

Ah.... is it because I am publishing the SWF to a CD and running from that????
I had used exactly the same actions as you Mack.
If I upload to the web it works
But not from a CD or HD??

Is there a way round this???

Hi Mack
Found your reply to Isma and managed to get the links working.
But am I correct in assuming that each individual would have to adjust these settings in order to get the links to work?

Because that would be a show stopper!

Getting old...can't remember what Isma's post was about...

[EDIT] Hadn't noticed the double post :-) Yes, as far as I'm aware each user has to set the security settings to use the SWF. It can't always have been like this - I remember installing several flash applications on a network years ago without the problem. I've never looked in detail if there is a work around - though that sounds counter-intuitive.

Adds:

Information on Flash security - http://www.senocular.com/pub/adobe/Flash Player Security Basics.html

Could you create a local HTML document with links to the site / sites and launch this from the SWF?
