I need to stop an animation loop when my variable number total_options is number 5.
I tried few simple scrips on the loop box "loop while conditions is true" but didn't work.
It should be something like:
var total_options = (less than 5 but I don't how to write that)

I need to to it on the box with the scrip because with the other possibility "variable changed" from the advanced triggers
other actions can be stopped but not the loop and I don't want to go to another page to stop it.
any help?
Thanks

I do not understand this part of your request.

As for the basic "stop loop when variable changed", there are several ways to achieve that.
I have attached a sample Pub that does it in a most simple, basic way with standard actions. You should be able to adapt to your needs.
