I have asked this question before about six months ago but had no replies so I thought that I would try again whilst everyone has a bit of that Christmas 'helpful' spirit.
In the help file there is a mention the variable LMS_DEBUG which tracks the communications with the LMS, however I cannot find it. I have had a look in the publication variables and also tried inserting it as a Constant Expression but still no success.
Has anyone found out how to get at this :?:

So you tried Insert Variable -- and it was not among the list of SYSTEM VARIABLES?

I have not done any work yet with LMS or SCORM. You may have to wait for Mackavi, or another expert in that area, to respond.

Out of curiosity I glanced at the Help Files. I suspect that you have to 'pull' the value of that variable from the LMS side of things. Take a look at this Help Topic, and see what you think. Short Excerpt here.
Quote:
GetLMSValue allows you to get the data in an LMS variable (data model) and put it into an Opus variable for use in the publication. The syntax for this command is:

GetLMSValue("LMS_DATA_MODEL","OPUS_VARIABLE_NAME");

Thank you for the reply Lar_123.
I have used GetLMSValue() extensively to retrieve he data that is not available in the preset Actions within Opus.
I have had a good look through my list of data model elements available in SCORM and cannot find a debug function anywhere. I would have thought that it would be in the cmi.core group if it is anywhere, but it is not in there.

Digital Workshops - any answers??

Doesn't work like.

It's not a data model element - it a method the same as GetLMSValue() called LMSGetLastError() or in DW script IMSGetLastError().

I don't like or use SCORM actions, so can't really say about debug directly in Opus that way - but a look at the JS shows that two functions do return errors to Opus variables - the initial and finish. The values for which are stored in their respective publication variables suffixed _RETURN.
