In the editor, when I use Alt + left drag to duplicate objects, if there are already objects on the page within a group, the dragged duplicates aren't visible and defy being brought to the foreground!

The preview window shows them properly, though.

The only way around it I can find, is to only use the Duplicate button, or group the duplicated objects, and bring THAT group to the foreground.

Is this by accident or design?

Any ideas on this one, anyone?

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

I'm afraid that I'm having problems replicating this issue.

I inserted an image into a frame object, then selected the image and Alt+Left-dragged to duplicate it. The duplicate was not immediately visible, as it had been created on the layer behind the original image.

However, the duplicate image was automatically selected and I could easily drag this image from behind the original and position it in the required location.

I have attached a video capture of this procedure (in SWF format). Are the steps used different from your procedure?

Kind regards,

Sod's law - I can't reproduce it now, either!!

I eventually saved and closed the publication, then re-opened it and all seemd to be OK.

Sorry to waste your time, Robin - it would seem to be a volatile problem...

Chris
