Opus: Evolution
|
OpusScript was developed for use with Opus Pro (Executable) publications and the full functionality is therefore geared towards these types of projects. Flex (Flash) and HTML5 use a subset of these functions. There should be some guidance in the help as to what functions work for each type. HTML5 is also the newest of the publication types and therefore you can expected to see more and more functionality added over time.
However, it is important to remember that a HTML5 publication is exactly that once it has been published - HTML5 + JS + CSS. Therefore, depending on which Object (host, native or user) you are trying to manipulate - you may have access to the full capabilities of JavaScript at the level supported by the browser and directly entered into the script pane in Opus.
The best thing about Opus is that there is usually a way to do it whether inside or outside of the box and the forum is full of wonder solutions if you've got some time, patience and imagination.
