I am trying to create a scrolling timeline that will show and hide text with more information as select areas of the timeline pass through a target area.

I have the timeline set up to scroll left and right with buttons, but I canot seem to get the frames I have setup as collision triggers to activate the actions.

I have it set so that as "trigger item 1" enters the "collision trigger", it should show an initially hidden item and hides anything else that might already be showing.

If I create a frame that I drag onto the "collision trigger" it will function as planned, but not when I scroll the intended item into the "collision trigger".

Any ideas?

OK, I worked up a sample of what is happening.

Odd thing is that I built a very basic scroll collision test and it worked. Why is this not working?

Hi Tom

I can't say for sure why it doesn't work,
but you can fix it by inserting the collision trigger
inside the scrolling frame and applying the Fix object to page
property. See attached

Chris,

Thanks for that. It does now work. The fact that the collision elements aren't in the same frame should not matter ... right?

Tom

Your right, it should not matter that the objects are
in different frames, but this could be a problem(bug)
with the nested frames.

Cheers
Chris
