I have been using opus for years and have written a few publications but have never got on with script. Even the easiest of functions I cannot get to work.
e.g I have declared a variable lets say its called billy. I add a script object to a button that reads, var billy = "silly" I have a text box that contains the variable billy but upon pressing the button silly is not displayed in the text box.
I know I am missing the obvious but, what is the obvious?
Any help would be appreciated.
Tony

Opus: Opus Pro 9.75
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
System: Core i7, 16G RAM, Nvidia 640GT (desktop), plus Windows 10 and Android tablets
Sample IMP done in Opus Professional. If you are creating and adding the variable billy to the text box by right clicking it, then in the button's script object, leave off the var so that it's:

Code:
billy = "silly"
