Is there any way I can save actions only (not attached to objects) as components so that they can be reused . I use hypertext a lot and what I want to do is store the actions of a hypertext so that I can use the same ones over and over again on different hypertext elements .

Any ideas :?:

Not actions !
But with script U can. Write the script as a page function and call it from an action.

I thought there might be an easier way without using script.

Maybe DW could include components to just capture a group of actions to use over and over again

Something for the Wishlist . Hope you're listening :D

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The easiest way to achieve this would be to save one of your completed text objects containing hypertext to a Component Gallery. Whenever you need to use this link in future, simply drag-and-drop the component onto the page and edit the text to your requirements.

You can also copy the actions for a particular hypertext to the clipboard for transferring to other hypertexts.

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any furthe queries.

Kind regards,

Klaus, I think your right. Opus could certainly benefit from an function facility containing a group of actions accepting param passing.

A definite "wish list" contender.
