Hi,

I have a need to display a Opus page when a door is opened and someone enters the room.

I am therefore looking for some type of sensor to attach to the door or when a contact is made etc. Has anyone managed to do this and what hardware etc to use?

Thanks

The easiest way to connect buttons or switches to your computer is to use a USB trigger.
On your Opus page you have tot define a key stroke trigger. Connect a switch to to the USB trigger and the USB trigger
will send a signal to your computer.
This is a trigger i used in several Escape rooms.

Thank you so much for the reply, this is exactly what I was looking for. Can you tell me do you use the JoyToKey to convert to a keystroke or can this be done directly in Opus Pro?

You can define the keystroke direct in Opus.
Choose trigger --> Advanced --> Press Key
There you enter the keystroke you like to use.

To test what letter the USB trigger sends via USB to your computer is simple. Connect a button to the USB trigger, open wordpad and you will see what letter it generates.
If you want to open a page or play music by pressing that button, you need to enter that keystroke as a trigger in Opus.

Did this answer your question?

Kind Regards,
Ad Mulders
