HI,
It appears that if I set a password on a Access DB, the data source DSN can no longer provide data to my variables based on this database.
How can I secure a Access DB from being edited but still allow the DSN connection to work.
Have I overlooked the obvious. Any help would be great
Peter

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

You will need to ensure that your Opus publication knows the password to the Access database. To do this, click Publication > Publication Properties, select the Database tab and highlight the DSN you are using to connect to the database.

Now type an authorised username and password into fields provided in the Editor panel to allow Opus to access the database in preview mode. To give the published executable access to the database, you will need to type the same details in to the Username and Password fields in the Published section.

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Kind regards,
