Hi
Made and published SWF animation in Flex and am to use it in XEPro publication. It inserts through video tool, but will not run to 'usual time'. It rushes a three minute animation through in about 2 secs..... my viewers are not that spritely.
Why should it do this?
How can I resolve it?
It works inserted on my website.

My XE pro is the v1.81 (something like that)
any thoughts,
thanks
stephen

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The Video object uses the QuickTime ActiveX Control to display SWF files, so I would first ensure that the latest version of QuickTime is correctly installed on your system. Simply visit www.quicktime.com and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest version.

If the problem persists, it is likely that the QuickTime ActiveX Control is struggling to cope with script commands or interactivity in the file and I would recommend removing the video object from the page and instead using a DocView object to display the SWF file. DocView objects use the Flash Player plug-in for the default Internet browser to process the SWF file and the movie should now play as expected.

Kind regards,

Thanks Robbin
I'll give the DocView a whirl as like FlashPlayer, then checkout the results.
