Hi

If I learn more extensive Java Scripting, would I be able to insert these JS scripts into Opus XE 05? Or is XE 05 only able to use JS scripting already available in Opus Script?

Would I have to stay within JS 1.1, the older JS language, or could I use newer JS versions?

If I could use more extensive JS scripts, I would be able to create more versatile actions and projects.

Kind Regards,

Stephen

OpusScript is based on ECMAScript, which is also a common base for JavaScript. However both derived languages have their own features (most of the graphical stuff in Opus or the web elements in JavaScript) that are unique to those languages.

While knowing JavaScript can make OpusScript easier, it is not usually possible to just transplant JS code into Opus and expect it to work.

Are there any JavaScript features that you are specifically missing in Opus?

Hi Duncan

Thanks for your response. I'm not yet sure which operations.

Kind Regards,

Stephen
