Cheers for all the downloads - I hope you're all enjoying the alpha release.

Sorry for those that are getting a website offline error. I've got a promotion running with Plehtos at the moment, and the downloads of that are going mad .

Please do post your comments - good or bad are always appriciated.

Mack

The beta release of IKIQ has been released. Here are some of the highlights:

1. Improved navigation system allow game to be managed and played with an unlimited number of questions.

2. New splash screen & front menu. This will, in the final version, allow the user to select the quiz game they want.

3. New corresponding media. IKIQ will now display video, audio and documents alongside the questions.

4. Completion quote / feedback based on score percentage to encourage or praise.

5. New question types:

a. Improved know it questions allow for multiple answers eg user can enter 20 or twenty.

b. Multiple choice rotate - user clicks though the possilbe answers.

c. Multiple D&D - user has to place correct answer in the box

d. Sequence - User has to arrange the statements into a given order.

e. Multimatch - User has to arrange statements to match.

f. Custom. IKIQ Beta includes two examples of custom questions types. Fractions and Periodic Table.

Quote:
ABOUT: IKIQ is an open system whereby questions and media are stored in the question file and media folders with the program. It doesn't hardcode question data!

The really really big advantage of this is that you don't have to create pages and pages for each individual question but can simply add a question (and media) to the question.ini file and IKIQ will do the rest.

To help you understand the power of IKIQ, I've left the ini unencrypted. Feel free to take a peek and edit the questions, possilbe answers, the media etc - but take a backup first.

6. Questions are now marked and will display the correct answers upon submit / pass.

7. The image display now as some basic zoom / naviagtion function

HIDDEN: There are various features in the background of IKIQ that can be implimented if a user so wishes. This include grading and points for questions instead of just right and wrongs.

Analysis of quiz / test can be produced based on questiont type or allocated point / grade (level).

This information can be stored in an online or local database or emailed to the quiz / test setter.

Some minor changes have been made to the way IKIQ works - please use the mouse over help to see what everything does and how the question types work.

download from here: http://www.interaktiv.co.uk/index.php?o ... &Itemid=43

EDIT: PLEASE ensure that you select the BETA version for download. It seems that people are still trying to download the alpha version :-)

Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback at general(at)interaktiv.co.uk

The final release of IKIQ (Exemplar Edition) is now here.

The version uses mostly the same questions as the beta, with the exception of some of the movies which now use the Quicktime format.

The main changes to this version are:

1. Multi-threading has been implimented (there will be more about this on the Interaktiv Forum)

2. A control panel bar has been added with functions including media & volume controls

3. The Text type effect has been completely changed. Several effects and an off mode are now available.

Please see the Interaktiv website for more information and download.

A huge, huge thank you to those members who help test this program.

:P
It should be "you're smart" as in "you are", the apostrophe signifies a missing letter or combination of letters. "Your" is a possessive, it belongs to you.
"your smart" could be a modern slang term, but usually the phrase is "smarts" to imply brains.

I usually get loads of abuse on other forums when I correct people.......
Perhaps you can admit your mistakes with more grace.....
