Geopaper is an experimental publication that allows for the construction of accurate regular and irregular polygons from triangles to icosagons.

It is great for an IWB and suitable for supporting a variety of geometry topics including exploring shape, perimeter, area, Pythagoras and trigonometry.

Some example of geopaper in action:

An equilateral triangle with all lengths and angles shown.

A regular icosagon with just the lengths shown:

A Right angled triangle with two lengths shown

An irregular dodecagon with a mixture of lengths, angles and algebraic substitutes.

Cheers Roxie,

It's an interesting challenge. I know that Opus can draw shapes (V6) but I wanted the program to have access to individual edges & vertices of the shapes both for the calculation of lengths and internal angles and for when the program is develop into a full program designed for teaching more advanced concepts.

I think that a huge shout out to DW & Opus 6 should be made at this point as although the program was damn complicated in places - Opus 6 had all the functionality to make it work and work well.
