Plethos is one of Interaktiv's main products initially released nearly two years ago now. Version 2.0 (PI) sees a lot of changes requested by schools and teachers BUT most important for Opus - it now allows Plethos to work on machines running windows 98 - Vista without comprising on the following features.
Plethos (PI) uses (and shares information between) multiple windows with custom cursors. The idea being that teachers can work from the main program and move individual windows both to other screen locations and other screens without the problems of Vista or vanishing cursors.
Although version 2.0 merely sees the introduction of these features in the form of the magnify and timer windows - it opens the flood gates for much more sophisticated multi-screen software in the classroom whereby the whiteboard is used for the student interface and the teacher manages the lesson from the control computer.
Plethos is aimed at primary / secondary maths teachers but it does include a new A-Z guide and we'll be posting some sample screen casts if you simply want to have a peek at what Opus is capable of achieving.
