At last I've finished programming Opus 5.5 to play online Roulette! It only took 450 hours!
Sorting out the protection was a problem but I've sorted it with the help of Intelliprotector.com and now offer a free 14 day/time demo and an annual subscription.
There's a video demo on my website at
http://www.winningrouletteplayer.com/purchase.html and many more on YouTube.

All I need now is to market it I want to aim higher than Ebay, other than ClickBank has anyone any suggestions?

Sorry I didn't realize this would be counted as spam.

I thought others would like to see what's possible.

I thought the forum was to "Show off your publications and success stories"

It wasn't meant to be spam and it was created in Opus I can't show it off without adding links.
If its marked as Spam it may put other people off developing Shareware.

I'd be interested in knowing whether later versions of Opus would create the same program for Macs and Android

Hi Peter

Please do not blame forum posters for being a little suspicious I guess in this day and age.

I for one am cautious about what links I click on having experienced all kinds of problems in the past with trojans and whatnot coming from goodness knows where. No offence, but unknown links worry me and I rarely click on them unless I'm using a public computer or an Ipad.

And

There have been many spam posts on this forum over the years. Usually they are deleted quickly but sometimes they remain visable for a while.

I guess the suspicion is heightened by the remarkable fact that you have made a mere four posts and probably, through much hard work and perspiration been able to create an Opus built publication without the help and assistance from forum members. That is quite an achievement in itself.

As to your question about later versions the answer is hard for me to say.

Opus 5.5 is quite old given the latest as yet to be released version is 9.02 and I'm not sure how you published your program, ie flex. standalone exe anyway.

If you go to http://www.digitalworkshop.com you will see that an exciting version of Opus is due for release in the next couple of weeks that can create HTML5 and has Android apk packager.

There is a link to an oveview of HTML5++ that is well worth previewing.

This might answer your questions.

Congratulations on your achievement

Cheers

Graham

Thanks for your help , much appreciated.

I'll certainly check out the next release but I may prefer to link up with someone who can use it.
My serious customers are usually older so may not be interested in HTML5 which their browsers may not accept.

I understand people being suspicious especially in the field of gambling. I am trying to be different so I'm trying to tell it like it is and not make any outrageous claims or promises. I try to offer my programs without hype and explain most of the systems I use before selling my program.

There are professional internet gamblers (keeping a low profile) out there and some use my programs, which I can customise on request.

I created the program as a stand alone .exe but after protecting it I had problems with a missing publication file.

However, somehow I found that publishing as a web publication created an .ilm file and if I distribute this with my protected .exe file its fine.

As for Apps & Macs I can see there's a massive potential but to speed things up I'd think I'd like to do a deal with a programmer of the same mind.
